Pros

Great nurses, resilient community, many leadership growth opportunities, large hospital with many specialties, the only level 1 trauma center in WNC.

Cons

The hours are very challenging. often 5am to 6pm M-F. No additional compensation for extra hours, nights, or on-call weekends. You must love the work, and have minimal need for work-life balance to enjoy working here.

Pros

Decent health insurance coverage for basic needs. The staff I work with are excellent.

Cons

Being a big organization, takes a long time for things to change - often feels like we don't get a say in what gets changed.
