Cons
Leadership simply does understand the importance of senior developers and the role they play in developing junior developers. This has resulted in junior developers taking on the role of project manager or team lead with only a few months of professional experience under their belt. It is not uncommon to be laughed at by leadership for not understanding concepts, interrupted mid sentence, or even shouted over in conversation with leadership. Often, several tasks from several different individuals will be delegated to you, each of which require frequent updates on and are to be delivered as quickly as possible. We are told to work well beyond our normal hours and work into our weekends to get things finished on a very frequent basis.
