Pros

Great people, leadership truly cares about employee wellness and work-life balance, small growing company pursuing a flat hierarchy means flexibility to pursue solutions with creativity and freedom. Company's position in the market (environmental consulting to the energy industry) is an exciting, fascinating viewpoint on infrastructure development. A lot of personal liberty to pursue career interests aligned with company's goals.

Cons

Flat hierarchy and flexibility also means a lack of structure that could be frustrating and confounding at times. Admire the effort to avoid rigid corporate structure and processes, but that also means there were a lot of questions about how to get things done and who was responsible for what. Also, company is top-heavy with veteran project managers and no clear professional development/mentoring program.
