I worked at Manning full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great team chemistry. The staff gets along great, you're always hearing laughter around the office, sometime even a cackle. This isn't the case in a lot of other offices I've been in. It's also a great place to grow, you get thrown to the fire pretty quickly here and gain experience fast. The office is also taking the pandemic very seriously, allowing employees to continue working remotely and defaulting to virtual meetings until the virus has gotten more under control.

    Cons

Relatively minor happenings can set off emotional outbursts from the CEO at times, but at the end of the day, I appreciate his passion for this place.

I have been working at Manning part-time for more than a year

    Pros

The client mix at Manning allows employees to explore many different sides of architecture. At the entry-level, this provides a great foundational background and allows for exploration of different areas. The Manning team is always looking for ways to sponsor professional development. The culture is lively and friendly. Flexible project structure minimizes pigeonholing, and management frequently includes employees in large scale discussions. Manning has taken care of its employees throughout Covid-19, providing the ability to work remotely. Despite challenges, weekly happy hours and yoga classes continue. Most people at Manning feel like they are part of the team.

    Cons

Manning has a fast-paced environment, which may be challenging for certain individuals.

I have been working at Manning full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I've been with Manning Architects for a little under a year and the sense of team is out of this world. The firm continues to strive for growth within the firm and outside of the firm in regards to professional relationships. The senior management team is involved on a daily basis with the staff, continuing to check in and staying consistent with availability for further education and training.

    Cons

In my time with Manning, I have not come across any cons.

I have been working at Manning full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I've been with Manning Architects at the New Orleans office for a little under a year, and I love it! I enjoy that no two days are ever the same. The entire team is so kind and always willing to help if you have any questions. My work/life balance is great and I feel like management truly cares. My favorite thing is how organized everything is.

    Cons

Parking can be difficult to find and can get expensive.

I have been working at Manning full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The company has a wide array of project types that allow young talent an ability to learn and be exposed to a spectrum of design ideas. It has a great team to work with. Management is kind and understanding and willing to give young designers a chance.

    Cons

Sometimes having three week pay periods.

I have been working at Manning full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I've been here two years and enjoy it. I've spent years at marketing and boutique graphic design firms and in comparison it's a bit more corporate. I tend to stay focused and blast through my workload so that's fine with me... Yes jokes are cracked and fun is had but it's fairly straight-laced. I work directly with the Principals and CEO daily and they are all honest and reasonable which is all I can ask for. They like to promote from within which I really appreciate. I don't get the negativity others have posted about... Maybe the straight-forwardness comes off rude to some? I see as being honest and I like that. I've never heard yelling or toxic language.

    Cons

CBD parking is expensive. It's not a super fun party-time workplace but I'd rather blast through my work and have fun after. I'd rather not cut up all day and work late.

I worked at Manning full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Free breakfast once a week.

    Cons

Emotionally abusive CEO who makes decisions based on ego and changing whims. Employees work with a constant CYA mindset based off of fear and need to check boxes versus efficiency and collaborative growth. Stay far away, you will only be looking for a new job within months. Truly a toxic and fear-based corporate culture.

I have been working at Manning full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Manning Architects is a fun environment to work in, coworkers are awesome, projects are exciting, and staff are encouraged to be involved throughout the many aspects of the design process. Senior staff are more than willing to offer guidance and support when needed. Staff members come from a variety of educational backgrounds, and it is awesome to hear and learn from everyone's experience. Manning offers incentives for LEED certification among other things, which is also a huge perk.

    Cons

As with all design firms, everyone is running on different schedules, and sometimes coordinating communications can be difficult. However, it is clear that everyone does their best to be available as much as possible. There is a strong sense of camaraderie in this office
