    Approves of CEO

I worked at Manning full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great team chemistry. The staff gets along great, you're always hearing laughter around the office, sometime even a cackle. This isn't the case in a lot of other offices I've been in. It's also a great place to grow, you get thrown to the fire pretty quickly here and gain experience fast. The office is also taking the pandemic very seriously, allowing employees to continue working remotely and defaulting to virtual meetings until the virus has gotten more under control.

    Cons

Relatively minor happenings can set off emotional outbursts from the CEO at times, but at the end of the day, I appreciate his passion for this place.

    Advice to Management

Check-in on staff one-on-one more regularly, with formal performance reviews or at least informally. It's hard not to get bogged down by day-to-day responsibilities, but this is a young staff that would benefit from some more frequent feedback, whether it be positive or negative.

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Manning (New Orleans, LA (US)) in October 2016.

    Interview

I had an initial interview, which was very relaxed and seemed to be more of a conversation and lasted about 30 minutes. After leaving that one, I was called for a follow-up about a week later. Similarly, it was a relaxed environment and about the same amount of time. I received an offer the next day.
