lack of room for progression, stupid shift patters - you have to work 7 days in a row every other 2 weeks. You also have to work a week of lates every other 2 weeks & work a weekend every other 2 weeks, this wouldn't be a problem however you can't book holiday when your on a late shift or on your weekend shift, you have to find someone to cover. Meaning its essentially impossible for you to book a 2 week holiday back to back unless you successfully chase down people in the office to cover your shifts, which no one will because the lates & weekends are the least desired shifts. Head of the department is a complete narcissist & compulsive liar that constantly slags off his front line staff. I'm convinced he has a split personality disorder, however has since been told to work out of the office due to recurring complaints so this isn't so bad anymore The job is good pay for what it is, but over time becomes very mind numbing especially when it is quiet, with no room for progression it becomes, essentially, very boring & staff retention is a clear indicator of this.

Functions do not interact with each other much. Although there is the NODE- internal online communication tool for employees, it lacks offline team building activities.
