Terrible place to work

Pros

The only plus side to working at MLM is some of the people you work with.

Cons

MLM is by far the worst company that I have ever had the experience of working for. It is a place of work that treats people differently depending on whether or not you fit in. If you happen to be one of those unlucky people that do not 'fit the bill' then they do everything possible to make you feel uncomfortable, inadequate and unworthy. The chairman of the company is by far the unprofessional man of his level that I have ever met. He bends all of the rules, treats people unfairly and differently to those that he favours. HR is supposed to show support to both the employer and the employees, yet they show no real support to anyone that they dislike. Half of the team is full of members of staff who are dis honest and unbiased. Majority of the people that work for MLM would not share any issues that they have with HR as they do not feel they are supported, particularly with any issues that they have with senior members of staff. The CEO of the company is a man who allows his chairman to mistreat people and is completely powerless to decisions despite how he portrays himself. Many people have asked him for support with certain issues and he does nothing to resolve them letting the same problems reoccur time and time again. There are a-lot of unhappy members of staff working at MLM and I believe it speaks volumes when 8 members of one team all leave within a year of one another due to the treatment they received from the chairman and members of HR. MLM will do nothing to resolve the problems that they have so you either have to put up with it or leave.

Pros

Great team ethic to help each other through, good benefits, office scandals and politics does provide entertainment.

Cons

If you want your professional confidence chipped down over the years, particularly if you're a female in a 'naturally male environment', want to see people you work with being bullied out of the company by those in higher positions (if the Chairman doesn't like you, you have no chance), want to see no issues being addressed by HR who only have their own interests at heart and don't follow their own written procedures, then MLM could be the company for you. The turnover of staff should ring alarm bells that something is wrong here. The motto is 'great people to work with' which may be the case for other companies in partnership, but 'great people to work for', no.
