LoopMe is on a Steadfast Decline

Pros

The product is great and works. Breakfast, snacks, and drinks, work from home opportunities.

Cons

I’ve been with LoopMe for over two years and have seen the company go from hopeful, to dismal. Though the product is good, and works, run of business is a mess. There have been a handful of hires in upper management who have a bad attitude and an unwarranted sense of entitlement, and they treat their staff as such. They blame the issues that the company has as “start up growing pains” but there are other startups in the industry that have been around for less time than LoopMe and they are more organized, have a better structure, and a legitimate on boarding process. These select Loopers have had a negative impact on the quality of culture at LoopMe in the past year, with most people being happy to desperately searching for a new job. On top of effecting culture negatively, they make people in lower-medium level positions feel incompetent, or irrelevant, and go on to ignore people if they have a small issue, which is incredibly unprofessional for an individual at that level. The value of hires has also seemed to drop with their lead. There is an exorbitant amount of focus on hiring sales, with little to no focus on hiring support teams- at the direction of the CEO. In quarterly all-hands they boast how much they plan to grow staff at LoopMe, but what they’re failing to mention is the lack of growth in supporting teams. This has lead to overworked support teams, ie: creative, sales planning, marketing, and frustrated sellers, who - sometimes unintentionally- take their frustrations out on these teams. There is a singular HR person for the entire US, who is incredibly over worked and expected to handle all HR tasks as well as maintain the NYC office. I do believe there are some solid, smart, hard working people at LoopMe, but I think that their efforts and talent is wasted there. Pros

Great technology that does perform. Nice people who want to succeed in their role.

Cons

Issues are obvious from day 1. This is a poor-man's tech startup; the office has a new kitchen so it seems nice, but the office itself is dank, dark and dismal. There are cockroaches EVERYWHERE. On-boarding is an actual joke, the environment is not welcoming (mostly because there is no effort from leadership to welcome new hires; and the current employees are so stressed out trying to make their numbers) - they have implemented so many HR tools that are underutilized. No training whatsoever and lack of overall leadership and direction. ZERO company culture - it's a culture void. Leadership is just that in name. It's always changing and no changes are communicated to employees. For example; a new VP of Sales was brought in and sales people were not even told about it until 2 days after they started! Convoluted reporting structure. I could even add more about the CEO being the most bizarre and truly unfriendly people I have ever had the misfortune of working with, but I'll spare you. Beware, all decisions are made at LoopMe based on his current whims and fancies. There is no rhyme or reason for why any changes or structures are implemented. I'll reiterate what was written in other reviews that their is absolutely no support here from marketing or leadership. The kitchen is stocked, but there's only garbage in the fridge.

Pros

Not such a bad place to work if you're based in the states. PurchaseLoop offering is actually pretty sweet.

Cons

Senior managers and the ceo need to take responsibility for the abundance of any policies. Revenue and growth is at stake. CEO has some wildly extreme reservations to looking after his staff? He won't allow standard working hours, why is there one set of rules for one department, but another for everyone else? The greed of senior management, in my opinion has triggered the downfall of this organisation. We are a laughing stock in all media agencies. Bad decision to let some US people go recently, has unsettled the pre-existing dissatisfaction. In my opinion, he really lacks any understanding of diversity, inclusion and how an adtech biz should be ran.
