Great company/team but headwinds in the industry

Pros

Management makes an attempt to promote a good, collaborative environment. Work/Life Balance is good.

Cons

The company turned from an attempt at rapid growth to trying to hold onto what they had. Several people got let go throughout last year and the projections to what the company wanted to do were missed. Neither founder works for the company anymore. Some departments were older and it might not be as great for someone starting up immediately, depending on the team.

Not What It Used to Be

Pros

Flexible work hours and a convenient office location. There are a few wonderful people left.

Cons

The company used to be full of bright, enthusiastic people who wanted to make a difference. The changes in management in late 2017 took a huge toll and it was never the same after that. There was lots of turn over and the morale in the office fell off a cliff. I felt helpless most days because no progress was being made toward company goals. Executive ego and politics made all the work toward any finish line grind to a halt. I wanted LiquidPlanner to do great things, and I think lots of us did, but we couldn't compete with the lack of direction and poor decisions made at the executive level.

Run like a non profit!

Pros

Liquid Planner feels like a non-profit! Very little urgency or accountability. This might be a con for some but it suits my lifestyle. Women like me definitely have the upper hand here. Not a great company for men but they have every other company. We have an incredibly cool board that correctly prioritizes doing the "right" work over results.

Cons

Our CEO has gotten somewhat erratic over the last 6 months and we have lost about 3/4 of our Executive Team (doesn't seem like we are back-filling them). I get along with the CEO by complimenting her on things. The Sales team is consistently weak and can't succeed in selling our one of a kind product (it's been quite a while since we achieved our goals. ). We are on our 4th or 5th sales director in the last 3 years and seems like we might be headed for another change.
