Pros

The experiences with the individuals are amazing. Some staff is okay.

Cons

Insurance is horrendously expensive -- nearly 1/3 of my pay. Also, management above the house level literally DOES NOT care about anything but their careers. Everyone is in their position as a step to go elsewhere. They don't help real problems, only punish you for bringing them to light. LAI won't last long the way they're running it now. Run away.

Pros

Working with the people supported is very rewarding. You start to see things from different perspectives. I get proud moments when someone accomplishes a goal.

Cons

ALWAYS understaffed to the point where it could potentially be dangerous. There really aren't any kind of accommodations for injury. The pay is sadly competitive for the area, but it's non profit, so no raises unless it's a state COLA.
