Please read before you apply. Be weary of the many open roles!

Pros

- There are many hard-working, kind, and talented people.

Cons

- Poor leadership from the top down. There is a clear lack of respect and empathy toward employees. - Senior leadership micro-manages and gaslights employees of all experience levels. - If you plan on having children via. adoption, surrogacy, pregnancy, etc, and hope to have job safety on your maternity/paternity leave, I don’t recommend working here. Don’t let Later’s social presence, marketing, or nice Careers page fool you into thinking you’re joining a welcoming, kind, empowering, and healthy work environment. You may see many open marketing roles — know these are not because of company growth. They are because of micro-management, redundancies, and tenured people voluntarily leaving. The issues are much deeper than the growing pains of a company post-acquisition. It’s poor leadership, planning, and communication. If you value working on a marketing team that fosters a positive environment where you feel empowered to do great work, are appreciated, and are respected, I recommend looking elsewhere.

Pros

Free lunches, allowance for home office setup, okay benefits

Cons

No room for internal growth, employee referrals not taken seriously, high turnover these days, lack of female leaders in the company, a lot of junior people in senior roles, people on different timezones but everyone is expected to be available for PT meetings, no diversity in hiring There has also been a sudden influx of positive reviews here and many people in the company think these are being written by HR to improve hiring

Pros

The benefits at the company remain competitive when compared to other companies in Canada, providing an immediate advantage. It's noteworthy that there is still a wealth of talented individuals within the organization, offering ample opportunities for learning and professional development.

Cons

Unfortunately, the aftermath of the Later + Mavrck merger has led to a downturn in the company's trajectory. Senior leadership's exclusive focus on revenue, rather than addressing customer needs, has created a concerning imbalance. Toxic decision-making processes, including two rounds of layoffs alongside the hiring of expensive C-suite executives, contribute to a challenging work environment. The absence of a clear vision or overarching goal is evident, leading to seemingly random experimentation and excessive budget concerns. Additionally, salary freezes due to financial constraints have further strained employee morale. The departure of all co-founders serves as a poignant indication of the significant shift in the company's culture and overall atmosphere.
