Location: San Diego, CA Duration: Less than 1 week
Cons:
I left stable employment to join LSI based on its representation as an accredited, reputable institution. I quickly discovered this was a facade.
My brief tenure revealed an organization in profound crisis:
· Fraudulent Inducement: The school's national accreditation lapsed days after I started. I was never informed of this existential threat during hiring.
· No Functional HR: The employee handbook provided was outdated and fraudulent, directing staff to a defunct HR service. There is no legitimate channel to report serious issues.
· Unsafe Practices & Retaliation: I was subjected to a hostile and retaliatory environment after refusing an order I believed compromised student safety and reporting my concerns.
· Financial Chaos: I was issued a final paycheck that was rejected upon deposit due to company error. The financial disarray documented by regulators years prior remains unresolved.
· Sham Investigations: Internal "investigations" are conducted by the very managers accused of misconduct, with predetermined outcomes.
This is not merely poor management. It is a pattern of systemic fraud and regulatory non-compliance that puts employees and students at risk. I was forced to resign to protect my professional license and ethical integrity.
Note: I do not recommend this company to any prospective employee or student.
