Pros

I spent 9 years at Kitman Labs and worked alongside some of the most professional, experienced, hard-working and driven people I've met. I feel lucky to have been part of it. It's intense, as others note in their reviews, and there were low points, as there were everywhere in tech. But I wouldn't change my experience. I had the chance to work onsite with the biggest brands in sport, on genuinely challenging problems, regularly presenting designs to those teams and leagues. I'm a better designer and a better person for having worked there. I learned more in those 9 years than I could have anywhere else.

Cons

Depends on how you view things. It's not a slow paced environment. There is chaos. You have to go with it. Or don't join.

Pros

If you want to work on stuff that actually matters and pushes boundaries, this is the place. Kitman Labs is doing proper AI and machine learning work, not just slapping "AI-powered" on a marketing page. The Intelligence Platform pulls together massive amounts of athlete data and the models we build have real, tangible impact on player health and performance. You can see your work making a difference, which is rare. The people are sharp and care about what they're building, and there's a real buzz when you see elite sports organisations actually using what you've built to make better decisions. The company keeps expanding into new leagues and sports, so you're constantly tackling fresh problems rather than maintaining the same thing year after year. The AI side in particular is growing, it's the kind of work that keeps you learning.

Cons

The pace can be fast, because you're constantly tackling fresh problems across new leagues and partners, things get busy. It's exciting but you definitely feel the intensity at times. It's still a relatively small company too, so you can need to wear a lot of hats and resources aren't unlimited. You learn a lot from it, but it can stretch you a bit.
