Looking for a career this is not the place. Just a job.

Pros

The work itself keeps you busy all day. Met coworkers that are very friendly and can be very supportive. If you know how to text than this is the place you want to work. You can text your friends all day, ignore your work and no one will say a word about it. If you have children they are very flexible with your time especially if you are a friend.

Cons

Training is a joke and you are left to figure things out yourself. Supervisors have no idea what their workers are doing and cannot help most of them if there is an issue. People that work the hardest are treated like they are not working and the people that are texting or on their cell phones all day have nothing said to them. Many family members hired which are the laziest people you ever want to work with. Mass lay offs of full time, long time employees the last 2 years leaving a huge mess for the remaining employees. No advancement unless you are in the supervisors immediate circle of friends. Benefits cut for full time workers. Part time workers with no benefits hired to replace full time employees.

Attorney

Pros

Flexible scheduling as long as you made up the time. Complete autonomy over portfolio/caseload management. No one notices if you only work the minimum.

Cons

Laughable low attorney pay for the market. Little management/mentoring of new attorney. Was sent to court on my own after shadowing one CMC. Competent employees are rewarded with more work for no additional pay. No communication from Partners/management unless you're in the inner circle. Layoffs began in 2014. Firm split in 2015. Former partners embroiled in lawsuit. Fear/uncertainty rampant. Unquestionable loyalty expected but not reciprocated. Not a smart career commitment.
