Pros

The actual business concept is 100% solid and amazing. Employees, when allowed to actually do what they are great at, are productive and inclusive. Fantastic product, which makes it very satisfiying when developing relationships with clients (B2B & B2C)

Cons

CEO is toxic. He's a bully, offers zero collaborative structure (that's consistent), absolutely terrible job training (sink or swim baby), changes the rules constantly, very deliberate intimidation and insulting.

Pros

They pay every two weeks at above the typical average rate. The majority of the employees are very welcoming and warm-hearted people.

Cons

Unfortunately, the cons about working for Intelligent Direct are far more apparent after working there for some time. When you start, you are given what I would call the "grace period" where the CEO talks of you as though you are the best thing to happen to the company. This lasts for about three months, then you get to see how things really work. For starters, the CEO likes to have his hands in every aspect of the company. He believes that his way is the only way of tackling an issue and expects complete compliance. He maintains this business approach through a large amount of unnecessary meetings. Most employees have at least one, but typically more a day. These meetings largely accomplish nothing more than informing the CEO of every persons schedule for the day as well as what they did the previous day and can last 30 minutes to an hour each, wasting large amounts of your time. Another issue I had with this company is I never fully knew what I would be doing from day to day (despite these meetings) because the CEO would regularly change my duties to what he felt was most important rather than what I felt should take precedence. Over my time working there, I had seen people be hired for one job then within a few months time be working a list of duties no way related to their hired role. Additionally, it is not uncommon to be given unrealistic deadlines for projects that will then require time investment after hours so that you don't get overly swamped by the workload. There are many other instances that could be explained here, but they all come down to the same common problem: how the CEO goes about running his company. While they do pay decent, you work to the bone for every penny. I would love to recommend this company for the benefits offered and the coworkers you'll meet working there, but with the current CEO and his means of micro managing the business, it would be of best interest to take a lower pay at another company in the area and save yourself the stress of working here.
