Pros

There Is A Flexible Work Environment

Cons

*Terrible division of resources in regards to supporting US operations * VERY poor HR and on-boarding policies *No strong path to success, as an individual contributor (sales) or as a company. The direction of sales overall and tactics for each "team" changed 3+ times in under a year that I was there *Micromanagement at its worst-- be prepared to answer calls and questions at all hours of the day. No off switch despite the "flexibility". *The words that were spoken to myself and other colleagues are words that are actually illegal in the workplace. Disgusting.

Sorry to hear what a bad experience you had while working at Infinity. This, in my view, was down to having the wrong sales lead, and I was very disappointed to find out from the team that gave me personal feedback that their approach to management was aggressive and controlling. Which is entirely unaligned with my founding values and suffice to say they are no longer with us. Since their departeure, we have had one of the senior salespeople come back to us and is enjoying the return to the great culture and team spirit we had previously. All the best, I hope you have found a more suitable job. Paul Walsh Founder and CEO

Is it still a startup after 10 years?

Pros

On the surface this looks like a great place to work with breakfast club, snacks, Friday afternoon drinks, a ping pong table and regular company socials but look a little deeper and this is a company run by children which is all over the place strategically, operationally and procedurally. Some examples of this include.....

Cons

Different rules applying to different people e.g. one member of staff recently got 3 weeks paid sick leave whilst the company standard is 3 days though they cover themselves by saying it's at your manager's discretion!? Employees speak to one another and find these things out. Such practices breed divisivness and anoymosity. There is a lack of professionalism and confidentiality with sensitive meetings taking place in transparent glass offices and confidential/personal information being shared when it shouldn't be. From one day to the next things change and whilst this can be exciting what it actually translates to is that employees have no faith in what they are saying/doing is right which leads to indecisiveness and inertia. Unfortunately a lot of this comes from the top. The CEO whilst he's very nice and approachable flits from one thing to another! He's very much an ideas person but not good at planning and completing projects. This is the only place I've worked where deadlines are meaningless. Pretty much everything gets pushed backed due to unrealistic target setting and poor planning. There are a lot of bright people working at Infinity but because of poor management staff turnover is extremely high i.e. approx 50% + in the last year. The company will excuse this saying they've gone through a period of restructuring or that certain people didn't gel with the company culture. Yes they've restructured, but only because they've been all over the place stratetigically and only hear what they want to hear. With regards to the number of people leaving because they don't gel/fit with the company culture this seems a rather large number and so I would argue that this is a reflection of poor recruitment/management. With London being on the doorstep attracting the best talent is hard enough so its important to ensure managers and directors are experienced. This company wants "yes" people and if you don't agree with them then your face simply doesn't fit. Good managers should be able to manage the unmanageable and get the best out of them. It's often those who go against the grain and challenge the status quo that will come up with ideas/challenges others haven't even realised exist. This company's procedures are so poor that I left months back and can still access my company files and email as no-one has thought to ensure these things are closed when someone leaves!? I believe all these things mean that Infinity will never grow and dominate the way it could which is a real shame as the product itself is pretty good. Would I recommend you work here? Well if you want to get experience and are happy to go with the flow and work with an inexperienced company which is still figuring things out then go for it!
