Pros

They act like a good company at first and provide training for few days. They do pay you but very little.

Cons

DO NOT WORK HERE. They push to get you to pick up patients that are not in your area and only give you one or two patients at a time, with the excuse that you gotta earn your patients. They have been looking for nurses and still are. Just think why. Nurses don't want to stay because of their false advertising. Lastly and most importantly, they report you to BON if you decide to leave them. Nurses, look out for your licenses and do not be desperate enough to work for these people. You have worked very hard to earn those licenses. They reported me to BON and I had to hire a lawyer. Thankfully the BON can tell BS and let me go and told me to stay away from such employers. My License is safe and without reprimands but I do feel the need to warn others because I do not want my fate to be yours.

Over our 30 years in business, Independence Plus, Inc. has rarely needed to report nurses to the State. However, our agency’s licensure and our commitment to professional nursing has forced us to report a few nurses to the relevant regulatory body when we are aware of evidence that a nurse falsified documentation, reported to work under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or intentionally injured a patient.

Pros

None worth mentioning. If you like a small company feel you might be okay, but probably not.

Cons

Worked there for many years, was unceremoniously fired completely out of the blue, and when tried to collect unemployment they fought it tooth and nail. Oh and I've attorneys and private investigators show up at my house because of the various lawsuits this company has faced. Run, don't walk, from this place. They hire their next-of-kin and put them in positions they have no right to be in. They hire family members of patients so they can get the business. Corrupt, underhanded, and be avoided. I could actually go on.

Pros

The department and team I was part of was very close. Worked well as a team.

Cons

Management is disorganized, seems like like they are still learning how to run a company. Rules and policies change like the weather, not a stable environment. No accountability, no loyalty, no appreciation. Very large turnover. The attitude was always negative, never positive. Always looking for the bad and the mistakes instead of praising the employees on a job well done.
