The company won't help you plan, develop or grow your career Pay not always tied to job responsibilities or results, but rather on how much you were making before Nothing else to report

Hard to Believe This Company is in Business

      Pros

Clients are nice. Gift cards are fun!

      Cons

Leadership - horrible. Unorganized, blind leading the blind, no forward thinking vision. Continue to lose business every quarter (clients leaving them for their competitor as all of the good, talented people running the business left). The man responsible for and running Canada needs to go. Only talks incessantly about himself. Hires weak people around him to make him feel "smart". Weak management all the way around. Company is a revolving door. Turnover is 1000% - the highest I have ever seen in any company. Management in US is incapable and are only there because they suck up to the owner (a rich, narcissist who cares about no one but himself). Out of touch with reality, don't stay current on new trends. Move too slow. In this world of digital, they are still hanging plastic cards on pegs. Their competitor is eating them for lunch. Cheap. Total sweatshop. Keep asking employees to take on multiple roles yet receive no extra renumeration. Some people doing the job of 3 people because they're cheap. Human resources is a joke. No support or help to employees. Very lazy and unengaged.

      Downsizing in Canada,

      Pros

Great staff. Great work environment. Industry leader which is due to the staff and foundation the top brass of the Canadian company gave to InComm USA

      Cons

The company is American and will be trying to move all assets to their American branches for their benefit. Which truly is a shame due to the high quality of management and employees they have.

Great people - good local leadership

      Pros

People are very good to work with Everyone knows their job well Good benefits including matching RRSP if you take advantage My manager and director were very good, understood all the tools and processes. Very good work environment

      Cons

Senior managers that run Canada in Mississauga are clueless. They shut down the call center in Richmond, BC but not one even came to say bye or tell us in person. Its funny because they want to be an employer of choice but can't look at their employees in the eye and tell the truth. Nobody will admit it but they are going to shut down the Richmond, BC office and move everyone (if they will go) to Ontario. The owner of the company is in the US, probably doesn't know what is going on in Canada. Never been to the Canadian offices.

      Pros

-compensation varies depending on position (i.e., Key Account Managers receive base salary plus bonus depending on sale/performance targets) - negotiate your salary, start high! -Group Savings Plan (RRSP - employer matches 5% of earnings) -Group Benefits Plan -6 sick days / year -vacation (2 to 4 weeks - easy to negotiate 3 weeks) -probationary period: 3 months -free parking -free coffee/tea -lounge room (games, TV) -nice office, people easy going -organization is growing (Canada, US and global markets) -work/life balance (i.e., can work from home time-to-time) -social committee -management supports training -opportunities to travel depending on position (Canada, US, Global) -accessible to nearby restaurants, coffee shops, etc.

      Cons

-career advancement opportunities depends on department (i.e., more career growth opportunities in the sales/account management department) -no maternity/parental top-up benefits -no personal/floater days -like all companies, some managers/leaders are stronger than others

      Big and slow

Jun 26, 2017 - Administrative Assistant in Richmond, BC
      Recommend
      CEO Approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

      - Good team and support - Decent pay

      Cons

      - Everything would take forever to do. There was a chain of command that would be followed, and I feel that I would not be trusted to do the simplest of tasks. - Communication within the department seemed lacking. - Always ran out of meaningful work to do, almost always having to end my days earlier. - Was hired directly, but managed through a hiring agency, which was very annoying.
