All below not outlined pre joining and always ‘we are a start up’ excuse used when enquiring about the status quo despite being a 5 year old mature company: Very much boys and ladies clubs and if you don’t fit in, buckle up for a horrible ride Suggestions used against you if not to leadership liking People in senior roles lacking any relevant experience resulting in experienced members spending most of their day explaining to them processes/decision making No expenses allowed despite company asking you to travel up to 3 hours return weekly and outside of working hours Expectation to be online 24/7 days a week (told this verbally would never put in writing) Meetings put in as late as 21:00 at least once a week with a hours notice then called by your manager to demand attendance No work phone so personal number constantly contacted out of ‘working hours’ Reluctance to standardise any processes and rather operate of ‘vibes’ (the most used phrase at the company) A toxic, inexperienced, and ultra defensive people department where anytime they are seen (which is rarely) people think someone is going to be in trouble
