Pros

No-meeting management style, learning about cybersecurity

I have never left a negative review for a company before, but it would be wrong not to for HackNotice. Unfortunately, there were so many cons in this company, I feel compelled to leave a review. Cons: Higher management is very controlling and hard to work with. Not grown up culture: they talk about adult culture, but it’s the opposite. Negative inappropriate gossip in the office consistently about different team members. Office settings with no privacy, sound travels everywhere. Lots of office politics, the wrong team members are defining and running culture. Unprofessional: leadership asking the team to write “only positive reviews” on Glassdoor. Misleading information about benefits: there is no 401K match benefit.

We only intervene when assistance is required, with the goal of supporting and guiding our team members, rather than controlling them. We celebrate the success of our employees and frequently promote from within. Gossip: We take any instances of gossip or inappropriate behavior very seriously. We have had incidents in the past involving gossip, but those employees were reprimanded and have since left the company. Our zero-tolerance policy ensures that our workplace remains a positive and supportive environment. Office politics: We have designed our company structure in a way that minimizes opportunities for office politics. Instead, we put individuals in charge of their projects and trust them to make the best decisions. We believe this empowers our employees and fosters a healthy, collaborative work environment. Employee reviews: We never force our employees to write reviews. However, we do appreciate when they share their positive experiences, as it helps others get a better understanding of our company culture. Benefits: Our benefits package is designed to be comprehensive and easily understood by all employees. We strive to provide a competitive offering that meets the needs of our diverse team. Weekend work expectations: Our engineers are never required to work over the weekend unless they voluntarily join our on-call rotation to ensure our infrastructure is running smoothly. This on-call work is purely voluntary, and when on-call, engineers are only expected to be available in case an issue arises. There are no pros to add, at all.

Cons

- Toxic company culture - Leadership call themselves "dictators" (yikes!) - Leadership is not receptive to feedback - A lot of gossip and being talked behind your back - Some employees are incredibly rude and make you feel unwelcomed - There is a lack of professionalism/respect in the company - You have to agree with everything leadership says, if not you become a problem - Their company values are a lie
