Pros

I’ve been working at Hack The Box since 2023, and overall it has been a great experience, especially on a people level. It’s a supportive environment where communication is genuinely encouraged. You can openly share your thoughts, objectives, concerns, and feedback without hesitation, knowing that you’ll be heard. While hierarchies exist for structural reasons, day-to-day interaction and collaboration feel very horizontal. Communication is easy and natural, which makes teamwork both productive and enjoyable. There is space to get involved in ways that match your strengths and interests — whether that means cultivating existing skills, acquiring new ones, or finding opportunities to grow professionally. The flexibility offered is another big plus, helping reduce everyday work stress. The hybrid work model allows for a healthy balance between working from home and the office. That said, the people and the atmosphere often make coming into the office an experience I value.

Cons

While communication is encouraged, alignment across teams can sometimes be improved. More autonomy for employee-led ideas could unlock additional creative potential.Increasing gender balance, particularly in representation, is an area with room for growth.
