I’ve had a great experience working at GTC. As my first job out of college, I was given lots of opportunities to succeed, and was provided with great mentors to help me grow. The amount I have learned in only 3 years is immense, company culture is fun (very work hard play hard) and it values its employees.
Cons
Only drawback I can think of is that they are stingy on vacation time, but that may be construction as a whole.

Great people to work with and for. I enjoy going to work vs. dread it.
Sept 18, 2018 - Project Manager in Atlanta, GARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
This is a company feels more like a family. Everyone has your back and there is a lot of support throughout the entire company! They give you space to do your own thing, but when you need help, you can walk in almost any door to ask, and they are willing to help you. The CEOs door is always open as well as upper management. I am unsure on the bathroom comment from a previous review as they are very accommodating and clean. Of course the office is remodeled frequently to accommodate their employees. They support and care about you and encourage you to develop and learn as an individual. I have worked for companies where everyone is two-faced and tries to step on your shoulders to get higher. It is a toxic environment, but GTC is far from this. I plan to work for them for a long time.
Cons
Like any company, sometimes Upper Management is unavailable because of how busy it is. But it is good to know that there are multiple principals or other people to go to for questions or approvals. They have improved their communication between the field and management as well as throughout the entire company. It was frustrating early on when I started working, but they realized it was something they needed to work on and they corrected it.

Fantastic Atmosphere
Nov 9, 2017 - Senior Project Manager in New Egypt, NJRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
They equally care about each and every person in the office from the receptionist to the CEO. The company is built around the belief that it is better to lift up those around you rather than standing on their shoulders.
Cons
Some Sr. PM / Principals can micro manage, making it frustrating as you work your way up. This can cloud the upper and lower limits of what you are asked to do, resulting in dropped items. However this has happened at other companies I've worked for.

LOVE this firm!
Jun 13, 2019 - Marketing Coordinator in Longmont, CORecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The leadership at this firm really cares about the people who work here, and this attitude shines all the way down the ladder. There is so much respect for each individual person, and we are all encouraged to be well-rounded, and given the time to do that. This whole-person/respect concept transfers through to our work, and it literally feels like we're all one, big team, everyone helping everyone on each and every project we build. Last year we did a survey asking people why they liked working here, and the number one thing people said was "Growth Opportunities" (30%), followed by "The People / Feels like Family" (26%). This was not a multiple-choice survey; it was an open-ended, written question. To me, that speaks volumes.
Cons
I wish the office was closer to home, or that I could sometimes work from home; my commute has become progressively worse over the 4 years I've worked here. But that's a small complaint, in the scheme of things.

Great culture and opportunity
May 8, 2019 - Estimator in Longmont, CORecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The company values its employees and is focused on promoting and building from within. Leadership in the company have true open door policies, and the culture is very lighthearted and fun. They expect you to work hard, but reward their employees for this. Great company.
Cons
Privately owned by the partners in the company. Would like to see this become an employee owned business.
