Don't do it. Get promises in writing.

Pros

Theoretically working from home is a benefit - only in here because they require one. In reality it is an excuse to not respect home/life boundaries.

Cons

Chaos Chaos Chaos! This is a company that will promise you the moon. In fact, they will get you to work for substandard wages based on those promises of bonuses and perks. Instead, what you get is no clear answer on how performance compensation is calculated, you need to become a bill collector to get commissions and expenses paid, and they will wriggle around promises and say that's not what or how they said it. Working from home is more a way to ensure you are 100% ready to "get er done" at all hours of the day and night... and will even be told you should be having fun doing it!

Pros

Telecommute allows you to be flexible. Benefits are ok.

Cons

Management make false promises, concentration on sales, but other areas are lacking. No support for employees. Two founding owners (sisters) of the company are oblivious to what is going on and think everyone else's lives should revolve around their company like theirs. All they care about is MONEY., perhaps concentrate on treating all your employees equally. A lot of favoritism. Wages are substandard, false promises made.

Pros

This is a virtual company so you work remotely. The co-workers are very nice and helpful, clients are also very easy to deal with .

Cons

There are many cons, starting and ending with the founders and management. They claim they are a fluid company but they really should look up the meaning of fluid. No communication about YTD sales, goals, if Management is traveling, company direction etc. They recently promoted a new CFO but honestly, she is also part of the problem. You are heavily discouraged from directly communicating with co-workers and Management wants to be cc'd on every move you make. I felt like I was back in high school with processes they wanted to put in place. They want the account executives to be telemarketers, with little support but plenty of interference and negative feed-back. I was told so many times “it’s a numbers game” how about being “strategic”? If you want to be a sales person here, I wish you the best of luck, you are going to need it !
