Business on the decline, disappointing place to work

Pros

Flexible schedule Decent PTO and benefits Office snacks

Cons

Company is in trouble and far behind competitors. Recent layoffs and significant drop in new business is a red flag. Products are dated and some don't work. Sexual harassment cases are not taken seriously which has resulted in turnover and bad moral. Sexism and racism in hiring and management practices.

Unsafe and disappointing workplace

Pros

Flexible paid time off and the efforts of some employees to improve the environment

I left FrontStream because, after the company’s own internal investigation concluded that I had been sexually harassed in the workplace by a colleague, that man continues to work in and visit several FrontStream offices, all seemingly without a change in behaviour. Despite my best efforts to trust the HR process, there remained several key faults at the company, including a tone from the top that prioritizes certain individuals over the safety of others, low morale, and HR violations (for instance, the company has yet to constitute a proper health and safety committee, despite the law and my explicit request). I could not continue to work in that environment. Others may wish to consider this important context, also referenced in other FrontStream reviews on Glassdoor, prior to accepting a position with or doing business with this employer.

We appreciate your contributions while you were with the company and wish you well in your future endeavors. Contrary to your assertion, the company takes any allegation of misconduct very seriously. Allegations are investigated thoroughly and appropriate consequences levied if findings support the allegation. Investigations include independent, 3rd party oversight and review when warranted. Additionally, as required by the Canada Labour Code, our Toronto office indeed has a health & safety committee in place comprised of mindful employee volunteers. - FrontStream Leadership Team

Pros

PTO Some great coworkers Get to travel sometimes Would make a very entertaining reality show.

Cons

Products / Tech are significantly outdated - making them increasingly hard to sell and simultaneously, clients are very hard to keep. Leadership is under-skilled, over-compensated, and will be the cause of the eventual downfall of the organization. They simply don't care and don't listen. Many of them don't have the necessary education, training, or life skills to be calling the shots; decisions aren't thought through and client experience/needs are not at the forefront of the mandate/road map. Furthermore, I believe they all know this train is headed nowhere, but they're enjoying the ride. Numerous HR concerns/issues that are ignored and/or not taken seriously - completely undermining the integrity of the organization. HR itself (1 person) is remote, makes questionable remarks, has brow-raising opinions, and demonstrates little to no leadership or accountability.
