Pros

Remote work - Glassdoor says minimum of 20 words but I don't have that many pros. Working remotely is the only pro.

Cons

Travel policy - someone else makes your travel arrangements with little input from you. You could have to stay in a truck stop hotel or fleabag motel. You do not receive reimbursement for lunch OR incidentals when you travel for FT. Expense reimbursements take over 8weeks. There is no per diem. The mileage is reimbursed at a rate lower than the IRS standard. The expense reimbursement is done via excel spreadsheet. Bait and switch is what I experienced. Listed below are some of the broken promises made during the offer and acceptance - bonuses, 6 month reviews, & certification. There is a huge conflict of interest with having the PM also manage the SME's. Micromanaging: how quickly you should reply to emails, consistently going over scheduled time in meetings, last minute meetings for non-essential items, dictating shift start and end times, dictating every minute of time when on client site to ensure team only has enough alone time to sleep and shower. Consistent inconsideration of time in areas where consideration could be exercised to make the team comfortable and feel appreciated. There is the high likelihood of being laid off from your full time salaried position if your client doesn't buy your product. The lay off would be for the duration of the project which because of lack of guidance and failure to set proper client expectation, could extend far beyond scope. Corporate leaders come across as money hungry, thoughtless, careless.

Pros

I have been an employee of FosterThomas for over 5 years and would highly recommend working here. FosterThomas provides a great work/life balance which is extremely important to me. I find that the atmosphere provided is rewarding and we all work well together. FosterThomas is by far my favorite place to work and I have highly recommended working here to my friends. We have a great tenure here where some employees have been here well over 15 years. I enjoy my job here and honestly couldn't imagine myself working anywhere else

Cons

I cannot think of anything

Pros

The best part of the job is the ability to remote

Cons

Poor leadership direction, lack of support for teams when dealing with difficult clients. Company more focused on billable client hours versus ensure the clients are ready for engagement. Management does not support their payroll team associates. Lack of advancement and low wages. Management will mislead you on all pay raises. Management more focused on hiring anyone than hiring the correct qualified payroll associates. They constantly hire those who are not truly skilled for the advanced clients that they would need to service and support.
