Cons
-1099 Employee: First Tactical only provides $500 per month for expenses. This is a job that requires extensive travel/overnight stays. The $500 is eaten up in a few days and you're out of pocket $1000--$1500 monthly depending on the size of your territory -Inventory on core items is often not available, making it difficult to earn any money (100% commission & you're only paid on what ships) -Michromanagement: One of the individuals with the most power at the top of management threatens to fire reps for small infractions such as packing one's sample bags differently than he does...crazy but true! -Poor Commission Structure: Most reps are only making $50-$60K before taxes. Reps also use their own vehicles, massively depreciating their vehicle value due to the high mileage requiremets of the job (30-50,000 miles yearly) -High turnover and poor marale mostly due to poor pay -Unrealistic quotas -No company CRM provided making it nearly impossible for Sales Development Managers to track sales.
