      Good pay and smart people, but management stifles ideas

      Good money, smart people, the product is ... well, it works okay. Lots of freedom to make your own creative choices

      Cons

      Senior senior senior management (you know the guy) sabotages his own company, his own employees' ideas. The narrow funnel of getting your ideas past an impetuous CEO who needs hands on everything is exhausting at this point. Product folks loved to cite Elon Musk and Sam Altman as paragons of virtue and geniuses to emulate. Oops.

      Free devices and you get to work with dogs

      Cons

      Depends what team you’re on but expect the CEO to be breathing down your back or your manager’s back. No work life balance because of extreme pressure and expectations without the pay to justify it. Absolutely zero room for growth unless you’re part of the CS team.
