The worst place I ever worked
Pros
I have heard that there have been some managerial changes since I stopped working there; this is a good thing. Management needed replacing. I have never been so stressed at a job and had such little work-life balance. Even worse, my mental health really suffered working here. As an employee, you are assigned work and expected to complete everything assigned. You were discouraged to voice concerns and ask for help. However, management created a culture of us vs. them and it was really nasty and childish. So if you are indifferent to the work drama, you either stayed and worked anywhere from 10-20 extra hours a week to complete the tasks or fall behind and get on managements bad side. The workload was not distributed evenly. They would hire a lot of known acquaintances due to a bonus system where people were incentivized to make referrals. Usually the people they would refer and were very unqualified. This is contractual work and the experience itself was a great introduction to learn about the Aerospace industry and be able to work for professional engineers and provide purchases/logistical surveys for projects at Raytheon. I thank them for letting me go for "not a fit", because if they hadn't, I might have stayed with the company. I now make three times the salary I made at Fastxchange and work for a very relaxed and professional government employer.
Cons
Think of the worst case study of toxic work culture and boy... lets just say, management crossed a lot of boundaries that veered into sexual harassment and bullying. They set up a private IM chat for employees to use and then reviewed the messages the employees sent to each other. Then there was the management that slept with their subordinates. Oh man... Also, they noticed they had negative reviews and asked the employees to write positive reviews and watched over employees during work hours to comply. It was not a "great place to work". Maybe, now, years later, it is a great place to work. The business had potential.
