It's complicated

Pros

Most of the rank-and-file are good honest people. You get to test and play games. When I was there you got to travel to fun conferences.

Cons

The founders of the company communicate poorly with each other and have a mildly toxic relationship. This tends to bleed down through the ranks and make everyone below them miserable. The company went from a fun start-up in a garage to a miserly money-grab pretending to be something it could never quite lived up to.

Pros

competitive compensation, friendly coworkers, many days spent having fun and playing games

Cons

The culture here is deeply toxic, and it starts at the top. The C-suite’s self-serving behavior and lack of integrity have created an environment where unethical practices are the norm. Managers play favorites, manipulate their teams, and prioritize their own agendas over fairness or accountability. Leadership seems more interested in replacing people with AI than fostering genuine collaboration or valuing their employees. They go on podcasts to brag about it. It’s a red flag for anyone considering working with or for this organization. Proceed with caution—or better yet, steer clear.
