-Heavily profit driven
-They will change your schedule however they feel like it
-Heavy snitching culture
-A lot of inexperienced Radiation Technicians
-A lot of drama, favouritism, & nepotism
-Everyone is a referral, be careful about who you talk to
-Management lies a lot
-Finger pointing and blaming
-Promotions are pre chosen, this is discussed around EnergySolutions Canada often
-Lots of gaslighting
-Incompetent leads and supervisors (only 1 or 2 that are actually good at their jobs)
-Inconsistent break times, some crews will have a total of 1.5 hours of break time and some will have the regular total of 45 minutes of break time
-A lot of people pretend to work here, or hide in locker rooms/bathrooms to avoid work
-People get injured here but do not report it because of a “yearly safety bonus”
-The younger group of males here make a lot of inappropriate racial jokes
-A lot of the males at BP like to boast about not working like it is a competition
-They pretend to care about your safety
-Supervisors will vouch for the people they know
-People talk more than they work here
-A lot of people sneak in their phones into the working area, especially on forklifts
-You will be burned out some days
-A lot of the new Radiation Technician do not take their jobs seriously, lots of shortcuts
**UPDATE**
-They say there is a lot of of opportunities here for promotion but if you look around only the people who have friends get recommended
-They say you can move up faster if you learn “new” things but it’s only for them to get work done (no pay increase for these additional skills)
-Radiation Technician salary is not significantly higher than Process Technician salary, more work and more responsibility
-People go to the computer lab to be on their phones, watch Youtube, or sleep and not doing readings
-Supervisors are on their phones or watching videos while “SUPERVISING” the workers on the floor
-People get promoted out of necessity
