Pros

Understanding and willingness to win! Also I believe they are very family oriented. Sonja C.O.O. and David the C.E.O. are great people and truly do care about your family and will give you the time you need for family issues if they arise. I loved working them as they gave me the tools I needed to become better at my management position.

Cons

Can be demanding at times, but what job isn't. Also can be sometimes tense.

DO NOT WORK HERE

Pros

Sadly there are no pros to working at this company. This is the most unprofessional company I have ever worked for. They treat their employees with disrespect and are rude. I am surprised there haven't been more sexual harassment claims filed there. The COO of the company Sonja B, who is also the head of HR, once asked me and other female employees to dress "professionally sexually arousal" for meetings. The CEO is a terrible leader and makes extremely inappropriate comments to young female employees. They offered me "one day off a week" after I filed a internal sexual compliant. They throw a free lunch to the employees every once in a while to make up for the fact that they haven't given employees a raise in over five years. There are no annual reviews or opportunities for merit-based increases. Computers and technology (what technology?) are all outdated. Laptops take about two hours to turn on and boot up. The company's money goes to other businesses family members have started. They make their employees feel uncomfortable, anxious and desperate to hold on to their job. They go on random firing sprees and fire people for the "wrong reasons." They are constantly changing titles of positions so they can't get in trouble for moving people around or firing people. They have no idea what they are talking about and give empty promises. There is no learning, growth or potential to advance within this company. Do yourself a favor and stay away.

Cons

Everything in the above unfortunately.

This false review is distressing, and we'd like to address the statements that were made. In regard to the statement about sexual harassment claims, there have not been any sexual harassment complaints filed against the company or any individuals including the COO or the CEO. The next statement regarding a claim that the COO asked "female employees to 'dress professionally sexually arousal' for meetings" is completely false and slanderous. Females are not required or expected to dress anything other than business casual. Women are respected at EDSS and as a matter of fact, the staff of EDSS is over 50% females and the business is a certified woman owned business. The next paragraph, states that the company has not "given employees a raise in over five years." That statement is utterly false, and the company gives at a minimum yearly raises and sometimes as often as every six months. Additionally, raises are given to the staff member during their review, conducted by the COO and/or CEO, upon merit. To address the technology issue, EDSS has an IT department that addresses concerns that are brought to them regarding the speed of the equipment and the company will either fix the issue or purchase a replacement. In terms of the feelings of the reviewer, we realize we are unable to control any individuals feelings, the company does its best to be supportive and positive and there has never been "random" firing sprees nor has the company fired people for the "wrong reasons." Lastly, in regards to the comment regarding positions and titles, staff members receive changes to their titles as they advance within the company and as such, there is certainly potential for advancement. This company is a dynamic, growing small business that unapologetically does create new positions in order to expand with the growth of the company and create advancement opportunities.

Pros

The CEO and the COO are great people to work for. Very caring about their employees. David Ely is a very passionate man about his businesses and whether his employees are happy and successful will do whatever he can to make that happen. Sonja is the same way she is very motherly and makes sure that employees with families can take care of their family. Overall great company to work for. Beat decision I ever made

Cons

Sometimes very demanding and they have you working on multiple things at once. What job doesnt, but sometimes it's a little extreme.
