I knew this going in, but the job involved being on alert from home, ready to be airborne in 90 minutes when on-duty. Normal on-duty periods were 24 hours a day for 5 straight days. Some people like being on-call from home because if they are not alerted then they are able to get things done around the house. I found that I did not like it so much, being tied to the phone all the time.
Also, management was unwilling to share my own training records with me when I returned from periodic flight training at Flight Safety Intl. It was like the company wanted to keep the records secret or didn't trust me. The only explanation I got was "we don't share these records".
