The role comes with a lot of autonomy which I really value; you're trusted to get on with things and make real decisions rather than being micromanaged at every turn. Pay is excellent for the industry and there's real scope to grow, take on more responsibility and have genuine impact on the business. You can see the results of your work, which makes a big difference day to day.

Be prepared for the workload — this role demands a lot, and you need to be comfortable with that going in. It's not for people looking for an easy ride. The pace can be intense, but for the right person it's energising rather than draining.
