Pros

Some of the best reasons to work for Ooma outside sales, has been the opportunity to make great money as well as solidify a new career. The ability to work for and represent the #1 company in industry is amazing! The commission and bonuses are attainable month to month which has allowed my family a great work lif balance. In 6 months, I was able to advance to Area Sales Supervisor and I now help to build and advance my team to be great leaders and make great money in the process. There is a great support team in place that made sure I always had the proper tools to succeed.

Cons

This is a very rewarding position and company to work for and with commitment and drive, you will be successful. Though this is not for everyone! If you don't like beingrewarded for hard work, if you can't see the big picture, if you don't want to strive to be the best you possible- this opportunity may not be for you. I had my doubts in the very beginning, though I made my quota first month, I left for another opportunity that I thought would be better, it wasn't. I quickly found out that Ooma was not too good to be true, they were just true. I was able to gain a second chance, I committed myself to the task at hand! It's not always easy to see the light through the fog, but the risk vs. reward positivity is here!

Pros

Consistent product strategy, focused teams, leadership is focused on company and employee success, decent internal communication on companywide initiatives or updates, structured/traditional company All Hands meetings, improving stock price, solid product competitive advantages.

Cons

Lots of senior leadership has been with the company for 10-20 years. This can be great for institutional knowledge and consistency but can also create significant blindspots. Modernization of tools, systems and employee expectations can sometimes feel outdated, completely manual or slow. Investment decisions can sometimes feel pennywise but pound foolish. Collaboration between technical and product teams can feel painful.
