Pros

They are very little pros. If anything, gathered a body of work to move onto the next opportunity, save everything you do, and use it to benefit yourself for the future.

Cons

If you are a creative helping to produce for any of the shows under the umbrella of Iheart media, you will be taken advantage of, and grossly underpaid. The only people that see career growth at Iheart Media and any type of merit increase, if any are managers and sales. If you are a creative, you will produce everything needed for sales, and even some things that are not in your job description and you will never see progressive movement in your career or compensation. Time after time creative employees are always told that this company has no money and you know how it is. This is a huge red flag because a lot of people get sucked into the glitz and glam of backstage passes free pizza, Jimmy Jongs, and occasional free ticket to events. One of my past managers told me verbally before he left that any promotion or merit increase that he received while at iheart for 8+ years was because he made a PowerPoint presentation on why he is valued, which is ludicrous to say the least. Some sales people can be pushy, rude, and most of all verbally abusive in the workplace, in my experience there was a female there who yelled at everyone all the time when she did not get her way and the only reason she was still allowed to work there was that she brought in a lot of revenue through the innovation lab ( fancy title for sales designing) , and that is the only thing they care about. She was a loudmouth from Long Island in the New York office. Sales always comes up with sales initiatives for the year. They always break the goals earn tons of money over the goal amount needed and that money never trickles down to people lower on the totem pole such as the creators behind the shows. If you are a creative and you decide to work here, take my advice, save all your work update your portfolio regularly and leave after a year and a half if there is no progression things here will never change and you deserve better.

Pros

The team is very straightforward and helpful and they are willing to give you whatever tools necesary to win. One of the best teams I have ever worked with to be honestly.

Cons

Not many but you need to be flexible with hours as this is production work but that is industry standard.

Pros

The company had really good happy hours and events to attend. Food almost everyday.

Cons

Awful management team. Everyone will plot against you if they see potential. Very political culture and one boss there is a weak male figure in the office. If he doesn’t like you all the other managers follow suit. Mind you he has no power at all yet managers at his same level report to him. Must be experienced to work there really come in with a book of business with accounts that have lots of money because that’s all they care about. They will use and abuse you then cast you to the side make sure you have a second job to lean on. Frequent layoffs no managers of color either. Lots of red flags in the begging do not ignore them.
