Pros

Great coworkers, liberal use of new technology, ability to telecommute. Challenging, inspiring projects that could really make a difference for children if managed appropriately. Beautiful office space in a great location of shops and food. Shiny and appealing from the outside.

Cons

Where you begin is where you will end, regardless of what you are told in an interview. Biggest issue is upper management. Employees are replaceable, make false promises about promotions, and only look out for themselves rather than the larger team. Leadership lacks integrity and there is no shared vision. Don't fall for the 'review in 6 months for possibilities of promotion' spiel. That is an opportunity to critique your job performance and tell you how you aren't living up to standards. Regardless of how hard and how smart you work, your performance will be found lacking. Even experienced leaders will always question how they work under the current management.

Pros

edCount is full of very smart individuals who are committed to making a difference in the education arena. While the work can be demanding at times, it is both interesting and fulfilling.

Cons

None - I am a firm believer that you get out of an experience what you put into it. It's all in one's attitude.
