Pros

- In groups that are not Sales or Tech and Ops, there are good people building cool things. - Strong tech stack - Penchant for attracting wonderful and capable individual contributors - Currently a strong business environment

Cons

- I cannot emphasize this enough, be aware of what department you are interviewing for and talk privately with peers, ask about turnover and recent history. It will save you from some MAJOR headaches. - Authoritarian style leadership in some groups, not receptive to feedback or guidance. This comes from the top, so it's the rule, though there are wonderful exceptions. - Sales comes first, second, and third in all things. Some companies are run by their engineering department, some by their science/research departments, ZI is run with a mind-numbingly heavy hand by their sales department.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your candid feedback. It’s an exciting time at ZoomInfo. As you pointed out, we’re building some really cool things thanks to our truly outstanding teams. We’re also growing incredibly quickly, which has led to some growing pains as we have transitioned from a scrappy start-up to a multimillion dollar publicly traded company. We know that to retain our talent, we need to cultivate strong, creative leaders and support our employees with development opportunities, great benefits, and a culture of feedback and recognition. If this is not what you are currently experiencing, we highly encourage you to contact your HR business partner. Your perspectives are important to helping us get better! -Paige, Employee Experience

Pros

Great place to work with a lot of forward thinking leaders to learn from. Really ahead of other companies on implementing AI in the business. Moves much faster with less bureaucracy than other similarly sized companies

Cons

Difficult macro environment for the company and industry

Pros

Good pay, good benefits and great office.

Cons

Poor hiring decisions, recent layoffs eliminated mostly remote employees because they are prioritizing in office employees, especially with recent investment in office. RIF was not at all based on performance which meant that some in office employees who don't know what they are doing got to keep their job. You have to suck up to management to get promoted and a lot of really good reps leave as a result of constant micro-management.
