Take the good with the bad - Operations World Wide Technology Employee Review

Pros

Work life balance(Aside from a supervisor that has left the company I have never been told I can't do something I need to do when I need to do it)........Health/Dental/Vision($150 a month for a family, lower for individuals. I do not know enough about policies and coverage to state how good it is.)

Cons

Pay rates are low. (I do not get it, supervisors and managers tell me they pay a market rate. Director level and higher tell me they are working to obtain a market rate. This destroys trust and confidence in the management team from supervisor to CEO. Atop this, WWT should not base pay on market rates until you catch up in day to day operations, face the reality, you are behind the time, expect more and need major improvements)........Raises are not good(You can hustle and exceed expectations everyday, all year long and a high end raise is 3%)..........Advancement opportunities for the hard working (I see more friends or friends of friends promoted than I do hardworking, dedicated and most importantly knowledgeable employees)

World Wide Technology Response

Thanks. We try to be straight and transparent with our responses. Sometimes we have limited information but we do our best to be specific with feedback. The status of job architecture was addressed by Jim at the Corporate Update. Hopefully you were able to attend this. I can't speak to the reason for your specific pay but I encourage you to talk to your manager or HR if you're interested in an explanation. Thank you again for acknowledging our benefits.

Pros

Remote work was nice. Pay and benefits were decent.

Cons

- Toxic, toxic, toxic - Zero work life balance - Lots of back stabbing going on. Too many management changes. Everyone has to claw for things in a negative way to get anywhere. - Bro culture and a company founder who prays and preaches at company meetings? That should NEVER happen. - No inclusivity. They say DEI is important but when the leaders are praying and seemingly right wing that doesn't reflect. - "Great Place to Work" is a total scam. They basically make you do it, talk about it constantly, remind you to take the surveys, even say how to rate. It's disingenuous. - Over-worked and ran PM's too thin, then when you get too burned out to do your job effectively you're not supported. I was running multiple projects during the day and had another project that required 12 am, 2am meetings as it was an Asian customer. I had no balance, no sleep, zero support. Instead of mitigating it, they wrote me up because I forgot something trivial (so trivial I don't even remember what it was). I was so stressed my hair literally fell out! I was so grateful to have another company headhunt me so that I could quit. TOXIC!
