Thanks for the positive review! Since your review (as you probably know), we've been putting more structure in place to help people feel connected while not taking away from the team-level autonomy to get the job done that's been successful for us in the past. Our hope is that helps in the "structure" and "drive" department, as it will also allow us to focus on individual professional development and improvement.
There's always a balance to be hit for engineering/code quality and delivery, and this is one of the hardest aspects of what we do. We rely on our teams, with the help of our coaches, to find this balance and make the micro-decisions every day that will keep them with a solid, maintainable code base without overengineering and "gold-plating." If you see your team going too far in one direction or the other, don't be shy about speaking out and/or grabbing a coach to help find the right compromise.
