Pros

- Work From Home Policy - Casual Dress - You get issued nice laptops - Management is approachable

Cons

Note: I'm in IT Operations, and other areas of the business might not have these issues. WWT has several business practices that, while they may be acceptable or even liked by some, make working here extremely unpleasant for me. - The workspaces are 100% open. There is no privacy whatsoever. Everyone is situated at tables and anyone, at any time, can & probably will walk over and interrupt you. It's also noisy, and just, in general, makes concentration difficult. - Everything is "urgent". Nobody knows how to prioritize, and nobody knows how to schedule. - The culture there revolves around fingerpointing, constant meetings, and middle management breathing down your neck. - It's a bit of a boys club. There's very little in the way of diversity. - Agile methodology is being shoved down everyone's throats. If we were developers, I'm sure that'd be great. But we're ops, and it's not a good fit. - Frequent 50+ work weeks. - There's very little in the way of project management. Engineers are expected to do all this work themselves, in addition to actually doing the design & implementation + managing support responsibilities. - There is no cafeteria. One would think that a company of this size might offer a cafeteria on its campus, or at least schedule food trucks every day.

Thank you these details and for taking the time. Yes, the work space is open and this is to encourage collaboration. We definitely are a fast paced environment as well. All of this isn't for everyone and we're not perfect. Thanks for the advice and good luck.

Pros

Remote work was nice. Pay and benefits were decent.

Cons

- Toxic, toxic, toxic - Zero work life balance - Lots of back stabbing going on. Too many management changes. Everyone has to claw for things in a negative way to get anywhere. - Bro culture and a company founder who prays and preaches at company meetings? That should NEVER happen. - No inclusivity. They say DEI is important but when the leaders are praying and seemingly right wing that doesn't reflect. - "Great Place to Work" is a total scam. They basically make you do it, talk about it constantly, remind you to take the surveys, even say how to rate. It's disingenuous. - Over-worked and ran PM's too thin, then when you get too burned out to do your job effectively you're not supported. I was running multiple projects during the day and had another project that required 12 am, 2am meetings as it was an Asian customer. I had no balance, no sleep, zero support. Instead of mitigating it, they wrote me up because I forgot something trivial (so trivial I don't even remember what it was). I was so stressed my hair literally fell out! I was so grateful to have another company headhunt me so that I could quit. TOXIC!
