Pros

I've worked here a long time and have seen many highs and lows.

Cons

The highs make the effort worth it, and the lows force you to rise to the occasion.

Pros

The leadership team are all experienced professionals! They place tremendous importance on listening to their clients - and guiding them (gracefully and gently) to success with their business goals. We work hard, and yes we also have fun! It's just really nice to be working with a creative group of experienced and mature people.

Cons

Atlanta traffic has to be the only downside of working here. : ) They're at the top side of the perimeter. But, honestly they encourage us to move our work hours around for what works best for our commute. And as long as we're mature enough to get our work done, and work together as a team to meet our client goals - everything works the way it's supposed to.

Pros

Small team. Initially a collaborative environment.

Cons

Dubbing oneself an "interactive agency" would mean that your workers come from an "interactive" background. WRONG. What's Up is essentially an interactive shop ran by leadership that come from the editorial/print world. Additionally, design-by-committee is quite the normal process there. Lack of professional growth, financial growth, or overall mentorship is prevalent as well. Employees are not permitted to showcase work on their personal sites once they leave, might I add. Lawyers will get involved if your personal site has higher SEO than theirs. You'll be considered a "threat" to their business. Between long hours and constantly explaining fundamental processes that are normal in other agencies, there was absolutely no growth for my tenure there. Salary-wise, they aren't anywhere near industry-standard for Atlanta.
