Pros
Within the tech org, there are several thousand engineers, product owners, resource managers, etc. in the technology organization. And within certain product teams, your responsibilities may vary slightly depending on where you land. Walmart tech is great about being able to potentially move around and expand your breadth of knowledge when it comes to technology. Pay is great for where I live.
Cons
It's a corporate grind. Sometimes there's red tape and sometimes it's hard to get enough influence to move certain ideas or get things going. Also, finding a team you can mesh with is sometimes a crap shoot. You can either find the work that you're doing enjoyable or miserable depending on where you are, but I suppose that's at any company. Work/life balance can shift toward mostly work depending on where you are. I was working close to the point of sale systems and would constantly have to get on production issue calls, even if I wasn't on-call. Again, it really depends on where you land.
