Walgreens is good for an early life career starter into something more fulfilling, don't get caught though. - Executive Assistant (EXA) Walgreens Employee Review

Pros

Walgreens has a very good benefits package, and from word of mouth from friends it is near the top for retail drug stores packages. The pay is on par with most places, I have no complaints about my salary or my yearly bonus that is earned after you become an EXA. If you like working in a retail environment and know what that entails going into the job, then it is a good place to work. But be aware that because EXAs are salaried, they are worked like dogs, while others get to leave at 5 on the dot.

Cons

Walgreens as a company has an inherent downside of being open all day every day in some locations, and I do not like working over night at all. The time I put in compared to the praise I recieve for my efforts is ridiculously poor. The company just expects you to stop everything and put it first, but will absolutely not do the same for you if the opportunity arrives. Trust me, if anyone in upper management makes you feel as though you're their friend and that they would help you out before thinking of the company in even little matters, they won't.

Pros

Work with your schedule if you are in school.

Cons

Low pay. I need to be able to multitask, run the cash register, and operate the Photo Booth lab at a fast pace.

Pros

pay was decent I guess

Cons

no promotions, no good management, a lot of people in positions that do absolutely nothing, very cliquey, constant checking in 1:1's, no growth in your career, favoritism, toxic environment.
