Pros
Virginia Tech (specifically one of the engineering departments) has been a good employer with flexible work hours, opportunities for lots of different research, and different learning experiences such as working as a TA assistant. They have good health care options and the surrounding town of blacksburg is a nice place to live.
Cons
Some things are expensive for out of state students. Not much to do in Blacksburg unless you like outdoor activities
