Pros
Nice office environment. Most co-workers are friendly and hard-working. Higher ups know your name and what's going on down their line of responsibility. IT and HR departments are very responsive and seem to try their best to make things right for you.
Cons
As you would expect with a paper company, they are very behind the times when it comes to modern policies. No working from home. No wifi for employees, and internet use is heavily monitored. Music like Spotify, Pandora, etc. is blocked, so if you're doing something tedious, plan to find an old-school iPod or up your data plan. Vacation is non-negotiable. Most people are afraid of their managers, with good reason...they gossip behind our backs and take credit for our work, passing it off as their own, making the lower-level employees seem like they aren't contributing. Finally, the CEO seems to like to switch things up for no reason - she recently swapped two SVPs so they were covering each other's division. Everyone was very concerned about this.
