Pros

Probably people? I don't know

Cons

It's just sad to see the recent shift in company culture. Many people are getting promoted without making significant effort. Vercel used to be a company that prioritized culture and its people, but that focus is slowly fading away.

Pros

vercel doesn't just talk about being AI native, they embody it. they operate as a fast paced high growth startup and that can be disorienting if you are coming from a big tech/slow moving org. process is not the favorite word here, and I personally love it because it gives teams flexibility to operate and own any amount of scope without overthinking it (they just need to know they have the power to build). engineering bar is one of the best I have seen, and that extends to some recent engineering leadership hires too. the EPD org cares about the work and each other, and what Vercel wants to be for the current and next class of entrepreneurs. The environment is high trust, and collaborative and you can have a high impact early on, so whether you like to work on your own or with a team, there is space for both. their demo days are one of my favorite things in the company right now.

Cons

The flip side of the company moving very fast is it can be overwhelming to keep up. pace yourself and focus on what matters for the company and your team, and you will do just fine. AI has sped up a lot of teams, so code review speed can be up and down.

Pros

Vercel offers competitive compensation that consistently stands out as one of the strongest aspects of working here. The team is made up of high-caliber people who genuinely care about the work and each other, making for a collaborative and intellectually stimulating environment where you're given real ownership and autonomy. Vercel is on an exciting growth trajectory; the company is scaling fast with significant valuation growth and is on a path toward going public, making it a compelling place to be if you want to grow alongside a company and share in its success.

Cons

Like any high-growth company, there are still some areas being built out. Interviewer enablement and structured interview training are not yet fully in place, which can make the hiring process feel inconsistent at times. The employer brand is still developing, particularly on the G&A side, which can make it challenging to attract and convert top passive talent who aren't yet familiar with the company. Additionally, leadership is heavily focused on building an in-office culture, primarily centered around San Francisco, which while great for culture-building, does narrow the talent pool.
