Pros

• Pay and benefits are reasonable compared to local market. • Some coworkers were supportive and professional.

Cons

• Direct management in the VB Metrics and Reporting was abusive, retaliatory, and manipulative — creating a hostile environment marked by gaslighting, sabotage, and dishonesty. • The manager lacked the professional qualifications of her own team (only a high school diploma, while many of us had bachelor’s or master’s degrees), yet consistently undermined and threw employees under the bus to protect her position. • Speaking up or requesting resources often led to retaliation; innovation was discouraged despite constant claims of “forward thinking.” • Leadership and HR consistently protected toxic managers rather than supporting employees, leaving staff vulnerable. • Training and career development were obstructed, and performance was misrepresented to fit management’s agenda. • The company hides a toxic, fear-based culture behind flashy marketing about how “great” it is to work there.

Pros

Strong work-life balance, supportive leadership, and a collaborative culture that feels more people-focused than many large corporations. Hybrid flexibility, solid benefits, and long-term stability make it a great place to build a career. There are also good opportunities for internal growth and cross-functional experience.

Cons

Decision-making can sometimes move slowly due to layers of process and approvals. Compensation may not always be as competitive as larger tech-focused companies, and organizational changes or transformation initiatives can occasionally create ambiguity or shifting priorities. Like many large enterprises, bureaucracy can at times impact speed and innovation.
