Pros

Free snacks Some nice coworkers

Cons

Where to even begin. This company is so backwards and poorly run it's a wonder they're still in business. Here are some highlights: Owners are arrogant hipsters who think they are never wrong, and act like babies when someone challenges their ideas, yet pretty much all of their "innovations" have crashed and burned in epic fashion. Technology is super primative. There is no dedicated IT team, they use basic Gmail for emails and the Internet in the office is always going out. The company seems to be constantly under the threat of lawsuit by former executives who were discriminated against by the owners. When not meeting with attorneys regarding those lawsuits, HR is often pulled into closer door meetings by ownership to justify making employees look bad (they seem to have it out for pregnant women in particular), slash company benefits or do ridiculous stuff like setting up a new office for one of the owners. All while dealing with skeevy and inappropriate remarks from leadership on a constant basis. There's no security, people literally walk in off the street on a regular basis, which is not only a safety issue but also an issue of food safety given that there's no barrier to entry to the snack packing areas.

Pros

Hybrid work option Snacks (although not super healthy snacks)

Cons

The amount of mansplaining at Universal Yums is exhausting. Your work is not valued, you are not valued. All of the executives (with the exception of the CMO, who is awesome) are emotionally about two years old. Please please stay away from this company. I truly regret not reading the Glassdoor reviews before I took the job. Also, DO NOT work here if you are a woman and plan to start a family. You will be let go. I mean, honestly, just don’t work here if you are a woman. Actually, just don’t work here at all.
