Initial interview was standard 30 minute conversational call. Then asked to complete a financial analysis exercise on product costing. Final interview was an in person interview at their NJ office. The interviewers (owners/HR/senior managers) were not very particularly friendly, and despite a long drive to the office, they never even offered me a glass of water or whether I needed to use the bathroom. Just rude!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What do I know about the company, and what suggestions do I have to help them continue to grow?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Universal Yums
Interview
HR representative was fantastic. Made me feel confident about the role and the job. Moved very quickly. The major red flag was the interview with the c-suite team. They laughed through out and the perception of the CEO was unprofessional and clearly kept misunderstanding any answers provided. It felt like a boys club and honestly if you aren't part of the click, it's not a positive work environment/culture.
I applied online. I interviewed at Universal Yums in May 2024
Interview
I applied online, about a week later received an invite for a screening phone call. Call went well, basic questions about my background. Girl was so friendly. She told me she would send me a case study via email. Completed and sent back the case study (asking what ifs within the position mainly), and then received invite for interview with COO which was a 40 minute video call and I was told I would hear by end of following week. After 2 weeks, sent a follow up email, was told they haven't moved to next steps. Never heard back, ghosted. 2 weeks later, I receive a LinkedIn message from the CEO telling me all about the opportunity and inviting me to apply... So I tell him I was waiting to hear back since I had already interviewed and received no response. Nothing worse than being ghosted, especially in this job market. Very inconsiderate and unprofessional.
