Pros
Free snacks Leadership is smart (maybe too smart for their own good) Employees are kind and dedicated
Cons
This is the first company I’ve worked at where neither the customer nor the employees are ever correct. The only opinions that matter here are those of the founders. Rarely are employee voices listened to and even more rarely do we seem to take customer opinions into consideration. If it’s not good for leadership, it’s not good for anyone. Everyone is just a $$ and treated as such. Universal Yums pretends to be a modern workplace, but in reality it is backwards. Benefits are primitive. No paid parental leave. No flexible working schedule (yes, it’s hybrid but they mandate the days you must be in the office). Bonus is smoke and mirrors. It’s granted based on unrealistic goals that are impossible to meet. They will try to keep you with high base compensation, and in return make you work long, unrelenting hours. People are publicly shamed here and discouraged from asking questions that don’t agree with leadership’s perspective.
